Year of the Dog 狗年大吉

恭喜恭喜 ！Happy new year. As we welcome year of the dog, our classrooms are filled with excitement as they learnt all about Chinese new year. also known as 春节， spring Festival, Chinese New year is widely celebrated in China and in most Asian countries. This week our focus are on Chinese new year and its importance in Chinese culture. Out children learnt about the story of Nian monster 年兽 and all the activities associated with the festival. We learnt a quick Chinese new year rhymes：

新年到，新年到，Xīnnián dào, xīnnián dào

穿新衣，戴新帽，chuān xīn yī, dài xīn mào

恭喜恭喜春来到！gōngxǐ gōngxǐ chūnlái dào!
